For walking enthusiasts, in addition to the trails surrounding our estate, there are vast woods that extend for about 1400 hectares. The woods of the Municipality of Santa Luce are crossed by perfectly accessible paths and roads. In particular, starting from the town of Santa Luce, the Provincial Road of Pian del Pruno branches off, reaching Chianni and crossing the State Forest and the remarkable pine forest of Pian del Pruno. During the summer-autumn period, mushroom picking can be done, and in the spring, asparagus picking.
The LIPU Oasis of Lake Santa Luce offers birdwatching enthusiasts the chance to observe nesting birds such as the great crested grebe, the little bittern, the mallard, and the salciaiola. The area is also an important wintering site for the teal and the tufted duck: during the two migratory periods, the Reserve is an important stopover and feeding place for many other bird species.
For sea lovers, the beaches of Vada, Cecina, Rosignano, Castiglioncello and the Costa del Romito can be reached by car in 20-30 minutes. The Gulf of Baratti and Populonia can be reached in 45 minutes.
For lovers of art cities, by car, you can reach Pisa, Lucca and Volterra in just 50 minutes, San Gimignano in just over an hour, and Florence in an hour and a half, and the splendid small villages of the Colli Marittimi Pisani can be reached in no more than half an hour.
Those who instead want to stop and savor the silence can find their space in our garden next to the pool, in the olive grove, in the woods, or simply retreat with a book in the shade of the farmhouse.
